Where have all the buskers gone?
April 29, 2008
Long gone are buskers and art students painting van gogh with pastels in Argyle street.
Sure in London it’ll be common, but up north there’s very little.
It’s all been replaced by student debt and the Big Issue. And even the Big Issue is not good enough for junkies anymore, more the ‘easy ticket’ for immigrants.
Crazy weather
March 12, 2008
Hurricanes. Storms. Well, not quite so dramatic but the whole of England is awash with sea water and flooding.
And the Government still want to build 1,000,000 new homes on flood plains? Eh? Oh yeah, I forgot, the ‘amazing’ flood defences. I’m sorry but the UK attitude is always the ‘quick fix’ with no long term planning.
Maybe I should get into selling umbrellas….
Change in diet for Johnny…
October 30, 2007
With the cold weather coming up I’ve tried to eat more garlic and chillis, ginger. I’ve had about 3 stir frys each week and feel a lot better in general.
I think that’s what’s been bothering me recently, bad diet.
All the vegetables seem to be helping my energy levels and my well being in general, less stressed.
Johnny bingo on form
July 17, 2007
Bingo was on form again.
Everyone asked at the poker table….is bingo coming? Then we hear the front door and some disney tune being sung – then we knew he’d arrived.
He played it like Bingo right to the end.
Bingo could be the new Austin Powers….or Mr Bean lol.
Don’t get johnny, get the terrorists!
July 3, 2007
Glasgow and London have seen foiled attempts of terrorism.
Especially Glasgow, foiled by John Smeaton baggage handler.

June 11, 2007

Inspired by Johnny Bingo, this blog was born.
Johnny Bingo, is, to give you some background, our regular luckster at poker night.
When he’s crazy, he’s betting with rubbish cards and hitting.
Hence, the name Johnny Bingo.
But let’s talk about some other Johnnies :

Johnny Briggs, from the 1985 childrens TV series.

Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols

Johnny Bag (although these days they’re called condoms or rubbers)
